Fibre & Network · Herford

Fast network into every room.

A fibre connection is only as good as the network behind it. We cable your home from the termination point through to every room, so your internet, smart home and phone system run reliably.

At a glance
What is the fibre termination point (HÜP)?
The point where the network operator hands the fibre line into your house, usually in the cellar or on the outside wall. From here, we take over the cabling inside the house.
Isn't WiFi enough?
Often yes for individual devices, but usually not for stable top speed in every room. Fixed LAN lines are more reliable than a wireless signal through several walls.
Is cabling worthwhile already during a new build?
Yes. Conduits and LAN sockets can be planned into the shell construction with little extra effort, whereas retrofitting later is more involved.
How long does the in-house cabling take?
Depending on the number of rooms and how accessible the routes are, often one to two working days, timed to fit the build schedule in a new build.
Do you also carry out WiFi coverage surveys?
Yes. We check the wireless coverage on site and place access points exactly where the signal is actually needed.

Scope of service

What a clean network cabling job includes.

Your provider delivers the connection up to the termination point. We make sure the speed actually reaches every room.

  • Site survey We check the location of the termination point, existing cable routes and your actual requirements.
  • Fibre in-house cabling Laid from the termination point to the desired outlets inside the house.
  • Structured network cabling CAT cable and LAN sockets in every room that needs them, not just the hallway.
  • Patch panel and network cabinet Clearly labelled and mounted for easy access, so later changes stay simple.
  • WiFi coverage survey We identify dead spots and place access points exactly where they're needed.
  • Home office connection A stable line for video calls and large data volumes without lag.
  • Preparation for smart home and phone systems The network as a shared foundation for your IP-based technology.
  • Documentation You receive a plan showing which cable runs where.

How it works

From your enquiry to a working network.

Step 1

Enquiry

You describe your requirements. We ask about the existing connection and the rooms that need to be covered.

Step 2

On-site check

We check the termination point, possible cable routes and the building fabric.

Step 3

Cabling

We lay fibre and network cable, fit sockets and set up the network cabinet.

Step 4

Commissioning

Function test of all connections, WiFi check, and handover with documentation.

Background

Two jobs, one goal.

The termination point and in-house cabling belong together

The network operator delivers the fibre up to the termination point, usually in the cellar or on the outside wall. That's where our part begins: distribution inside the house. Without clean in-house cabling, the fastest connection outside counts for little if only a single cable runs to the router inside.

We plan the cabling as a foundation for years to come: structured, documented and with reserve capacity for later applications such as additional access points or a camera.

A network that carries more than just the router.

You don't see good in-house cabling, it simply works. As soon as your provider's connection reaches the fibre termination point (Hausübergabepunkt, HÜP), we run cables to where you actually need them: the study, the living room, a cellar with a server cabinet. Fixed cable still clearly beats wireless on speed and stability.

If you're already planning to switch to a modern phone system, or want to retrofit a smart home, structured cabling saves you effort from the start. In a comprehensive electrical installation for a new build or renovation, we also plan network cables in from the outset, rather than chasing them through the wall later.

On-site

In Herford and the region.

Whether it's an older building in Herford town centre or a new build in the surrounding area: we cable homes for fast, stable networks, not just a router in the hallway.

Frequently asked questions

What you often ask about fibre and networks.

Do you install the fibre connection yourselves, or does the provider do that?

The actual house connection up to the termination point is laid by your telecoms provider or the network operator. We take care of the technology inside the house: the cabling from that point to every room you need.

Why use LAN cable when WiFi is available?

WiFi is slowed down by walls, ceilings and other wireless networks in the neighbourhood. A fixed LAN line delivers the full speed reliably wherever you need it, for example to your home office or your TV.

Can I upgrade my house for fast networking after the fact?

Yes. We also retrofit cabling in existing buildings, for example through existing conduits, cable trunking, or as part of a renovation you're planning anyway.

Will I get WiFi in every room?

With an on-site coverage survey we find dead spots and place access points exactly where they're missing, even in the cellar or under the roof.

Does the cabling also suit smart home and phone systems?

Yes. Structured cabling is the shared foundation for internet, phone system and smart home, and can be extended later without opening up the walls again.
