Visible protection for home and business.

Alarm systems, video surveillance, video door intercoms and mechanical burglary protection, planned from a single source. Not as separate parts, but as a system that suits your property.

At a glance
What does security technology from Elektro Eickmeyer include?
Intruder alarm systems, video surveillance, video door intercoms, smoke and fire detectors, and access control. We combine mechanical with electronic burglary protection.
Can an alarm system be installed straight away?
Yes, after a short site visit. We look at your access points and windows before recommending a system, rather than selling a one-size-fits-all package.
Is video surveillance at your own house allowed under data protection law?
Yes, as long as only your own property is captured. We plan the camera angles so that the pavement and the neighbour's property stay out of frame.
Does security technology also suit commercial premises?
Yes. For businesses we frequently add access control and fire alarm technology, matched to storage areas, entrances and operational workflows.
Can the technology be linked to a Smart Home?
Yes. Alarm notifications, camera images and the door intercom can be connected to lighting and roller shutters, for example to give an automatic signal when an alarm triggers.

Scope of services

What a coherent security concept includes.

A single camera offers little protection. We think of burglary protection, surveillance and access as one overall system, and only install what actually makes sense for your property.

  • Intruder alarm system Motion and opening detectors on windows and doors, connected to a control panel that raises the alarm when needed.
  • Video surveillance Cameras for outdoor areas and access points, aligned to be GDPR-compliant, with optional recording.
  • Video door intercom See who is at the door before you open it. Retrofitting onto existing wiring is usually possible.
  • Smoke and fire detectors Standard-compliant installation for early warning in homes and businesses.
  • Access control Code locks, transponders or chip systems for businesses with several entrances or employees.
  • Mechanical burglary protection Advice on window and door security to complement the electronics, not replace them.
  • Smart Home connection Linked with lighting and roller shutter control, for example as a presence simulation or alarm signal. More on our Smart Home page.
  • Advice tailored to the property A single-family home, an apartment building and a commercial property all need different solutions. We adapt the technology, not the other way round.

Security technology is closely linked with other trades. We often run new cabling for cameras or detectors alongside an ongoing electrical installation. And if you are already planning an E-Check, your security system can be inspected at the same time.

How we proceed

From site visit to a fully active alarm system.

Step 1

Site visit

We look at access points, windows and weak spots on site and listen to what concerns you.

Step 2

Concept & quote

You receive a proposal combining mechanical and electronic protection, with a clear quote.

Step 3

Installation

We run the cabling, mount detectors and cameras, and set up the control panel.

Step 4

Handover

We show you how to operate the system, test an alarm, and hand it over fully armed.

Video surveillance and data protection

Cameras on your own house are permitted, as long as they only capture your own property. As soon as the pavement, the street or a neighbour's property appear in the picture, it becomes a data protection problem. That is why we align the camera angles from the outset so that only your area is captured, and point out where visible notice signs may be needed.

Mechanical and electronic protection complement each other. An alarm system reports a break-in but does not prevent it on its own. Sturdy window and door security delays access and gives the alert time to take effect. That is why we advise on both sides, not just on the electronics.

General guidance only, not legal advice. For complex properties we additionally recommend a case-by-case data protection review.

Service area

In Herford and the region.

Whether a single-family home in Herford or a commercial hall in Bünde: we install security technology throughout the surrounding area and know the region's structural characteristics.

Frequently asked questions

What customers often ask.

Is video surveillance on my house even allowed?

Yes, as long as the camera only captures your own property. The pavement, the street or your neighbour's property must not be recorded. We plan the camera angles from the outset to comply with data protection rules.

Which alarm system makes sense for my house?

That depends on the floor plan, the access points and the protection already in place. We look at your property and propose a combination of mechanical security and detectors that actually matches your weak points.

Can you replace an old door intercom?

Yes. We replace existing audio intercoms with video door intercoms and connect them, where needed, to existing wiring or Smart Home technology.

Can security technology be integrated into a Smart Home?

Yes. Alarm notifications, camera images or the door intercom system can be linked with lighting and roller shutters, for example to switch on the light automatically when an alarm triggers.

Do you also fit out commercial premises with security technology?

Yes. For businesses we additionally plan access control and fire alarm technology, and match the system to storage areas, entrances and operational workflows.
