Electric Car Charging & Wallbox · Herford
Charge at home, safely and registered.
You drive electric, we handle the connection. From the right circuit protection to registering with your grid operator: your wallbox from a single source, professionally installed and ready to use.
- Does a wallbox need to be registered?
- Yes. Every wallbox must be reported to the grid operator. If the charging capacity exceeds 12 kVA per installation, for example a 22 kW wallbox or two 11 kW wallboxes, the operator must approve it first. We handle the registration and commissioning.
- What does installation cost roughly?
- Depending on the cable route, usually 500 to 2,000 euros plus the wallbox itself, a rough market guide without a fixed quote.
- Does it need a new meter cabinet?
- Only if the existing one or its protection no longer fits. We check this on site and modernise selectively rather than as a blanket measure.
- Can the wallbox charge from solar power?
- Yes, with the right control unit you charge preferentially with your own solar power instead of from the grid.
- How quickly is the installation done?
- With a short cable route, often in a single day; for more complex wiring, over several appointments by arrangement.
Scope of work
What a professional wallbox installation includes.
A wallbox is more than a cable on the wall. We plan the entire route from the meter to the garage.
- On-site consultation We check the cable route, meter cabinet and existing protection before recommending anything.
- Cable routing From the sub-distribution board to the parking space, indoors or outdoors, neatly installed and documented.
- Correct protection Type A RCD with DC fault current detection or Type B, depending on the wallbox model.
- Load management With multiple charging points or a limited house connection, we control the output intelligently.
- Grid operator registration We handle the mandatory notification or approval for you.
- Commissioning Function test, briefing and handover of the system ready for use.
- Coupling with photovoltaics On request, we align the charging control with your solar yield.
- Meter cabinet check If the existing setup is not sufficient, we modernise it in line with current standards.
How it works
From enquiry to your first charge.
Enquiry
You get in touch by phone or via the form. We ask about your vehicle, charging power and installation location.
On-site check
We check the cable route, meter cabinet and house connection and advise on the right wallbox.
Registration & installation
We register the wallbox with the grid operator and install it properly to standard.
Commissioning
Function test, a short briefing, done. You charge at home from now on.
Costs & funding
What a wallbox realistically costs.
A rough market guide, not a fixed quote
Installation alone in the region usually costs between 500 and 2,000 euros depending on the cable route, plus the wallbox itself. Short indoor runs are cheaper than a long route to a detached garage. You will receive a binding quote only after a site visit, once we know your actual requirements.
Funding programmes for private charging points change frequently, both regionally and nationwide. We check with you what is currently available instead of promising outdated figures.
All figures are general market guidance without guarantee, not a binding offer from Heinz Eickmeyer GmbH.
Wallbox and photovoltaics: a sensible combination
If you are already planning or own a photovoltaic system, you can align your wallbox with it directly. The charging control detects the current solar yield and charges preferentially with your own power instead of from the grid. This noticeably reduces charging costs without you having to intervene.
If your meter cabinet is older or not designed for the extra load, checking it is part of the electrical installation work. We tell you honestly whether modernisation is needed, rather than replacing everything as a blanket measure. After installation, a regular E-Check of your entire electrical system is also worthwhile long term, so the wallbox and your home's electrical system stay safe permanently.

Frequently asked questions
What you often ask about wallboxes.
Do I need to register the wallbox?
Yes. Every wallbox must be reported to the grid operator. Above 12 kVA of charging capacity per installation, for example 22 kW, the operator must also approve it. We handle the registration and commissioning for you.
What does installing a wallbox cost roughly?
Depending on the cable route and effort, installation alone in the region usually costs between 500 and 2,000 euros, plus the wallbox itself. This is only a rough guide; you will get a fixed quote after the site visit.
Can the wallbox charge from my PV system?
Yes. On request, we couple the wallbox with your photovoltaic system so you charge preferentially with your own solar power.
Does the wallbox need a new meter cabinet?
Not always, but often. We check your existing meter cabinet and protection and only modernise where the standard or the wallbox's output actually requires it.
What funding is available for a wallbox?
Funding programmes for wallboxes change frequently and vary by region and provider. We check the currently available options with you.
